Every day I get to serve the most amazing children in the world and do something I really believe in.
Hello! This is Renee Dietrich. I am happy and honored to be a part of the Haiti Focus Week at Holden Village.
I work for the St. Joseph Family in Haiti doing communications and development. The St. Joseph Family is made up of three homes for children — St. Joseph’s Home for Boys, in Port-au-Prince, and Trinity House, in Jacmel, are home for former street boys and former child slaves; Wings of Hope, in Fermathe, is a home for children and young adults with physical and mental challenges. The St. Joseph Family also includes Lekòl Sen Trinite, a day school for the poorest children of the Jacmel community; the St. Joseph’s Community Art Center; and the Resurrection Dance Theater of Haiti, a professional dance company made up of residents and graduates of our programs. The St. Joseph Family was founded. with St. Joseph’s Home for Boys, in 1985.
